The Biryani Company

The Biryani Company started operations in 2014 and served the city’s favourite Kolkata Biryani for 4 years before they started dipping in sales, majorly due to lack of communication and brand awareness amongst the audience. With two dining outlets and a fluctuating number of pick-up locations, the Mughal cuisine serving chain had approached us to market a new product they were planning to introduce to the Kolkata market.

When we came aboard the ship, we laid all hands on deck and bagged the project to provide a 360-degree solution. From regularizing their Social Media communication to branding new food depots and pop shops, bringing about new offers and brainstorming on the food that is being served, we have been an active participant in the planning and execution of all, alike.

We also handle their Digital PR on both Facebook and Zomato. Case in point: the meat scandal in Kolkata was a huge down-point for most eating joints across the state of Bengal. The Biryani Company assures its consumers of high-quality ingredients being used, and we decided to ride pillion on this selling point on Social Media. We challenged the audience to drop by at the base kitchen any day to inspect the ingredients. We promoted the same and found immense support from the audience. We made it a point to counter every statement made against the food.

The Biryani Company has recently undergone a major rebranding, starting from the name of the brand, to the menu and the variety of products, the look of their dine-in outlet, and their positioning in the market. We have proudly presented ‘Biryanishk’ to the Kolkata audience in the month of April, of 2019. The finalisation of the products took many a session of research, brainstorming and tasting. The packaging change and finalisation underwent many to-and-fros of the most unique ideas. We have associated with the leading print media, FM radio and food bloggers to bring about a huge awareness of the repositioning of the brand.
